The Rules Book - Everything From Site Rules To Quidditch
This Rule Book Provides Everything You Need To Know About Our Site. If There Is Anything Not Addressed Here, Please PM The Admin.
1:: This is an intermediate-advanced role-play site. That means that your posts need to be at least two good paragraphs long. By two paragraphs I mean no less than sixty words per post. It can be more than sixty, but no less!
2 :: Your posts also need to be in third person, past tense, like you're writing a story. It just makes it easier for everybody if it's all in the tense and from the same point of view.
3 :: Remember that you are playing as a fictional character. It is very easy to get the life of your character mixed up with your own personal life. Don’t develop your character to be similar to your own living persona, develop a character with all of that emotional drive and pent up energy sitting inside of you.
4 :: Make sure your display name is the name of your character. Any other names such as " Potter4Eva102 " will be deleted, or changed. It is annoying to all of us.
5 :: No racial, nationalistic, sexual, or any type of discrimination will be tolerated on this forum. This rule most importantly if broken will get you banned faster than you can say Quidditch! Simple Enough?
6 :: The password to the character registration section is pighead.
7 :: If you get into a arguement with another member DO NOT bring it into the rp or anywhere on this forum. That includes the CBOX
8 :: You may not by any means control the thoughts, actions, or emotions of any character but your on. This is known as G-Modding (Not to be confused with Global Moderators ) or God-Modding and is rarely ever tolerated on any forum let alone the more advanced ones.
9 :: Pregnancies, marrages, etc. is allowed. But please inform a admin of your plans in advance. So I can give it the heads up.
10 :: Make sure you are active. We do activily checks once a month, and we delete all inactive members at that time. All main characters ( marked in bold in the Cannon Character List ) should log on at least once every three days.
11 :: Everyone must have an avatar and a signature. If you can`t make one yourself, ask in the chat board.
12 :: We are not currently allowing cannons
13:: Have Fun
Section 2 :: Our Classes
Participation in our classes is not required, although we do encourage it. These classes are provided by knowledgeable members, and can provide extensive Harry Potter trivial information. Personally, I teach charms and I`m looking forward to getting a few new members. Additionally, these classes can be dropped at any time.
Passing Grades:
O – Outstanding
E – Exceeding Exceptions
A – Acceptable
Failing Grades:
P – Poor
D – Dreadful
Section 3 :: Quidditch
When you are making a post in a game, you must remeber to be descriptive. Please do not make a post like: Then he threw the ball to Harry. Please make a post like this: The young man sat up on his broom heigh above the pitch searching for the snitch. Suddenly, a bludger wizzed past him almost knocking him off his broom.
At the beginning of the game, the captains of the two participating teams shake hands and then all players mount their brooms. Once every player has mounted their brooms, the referee releases the balls and the game begins.
Scoring
10 points - Quaffle through a goalpost.
150 points - Catching of the Golden Snitch by the Seeker.
Once the Snitch has been caught, the game is over.
Fouls
There are over 700 (This may be 70, 700 seems alot) ways to commit a foul in the game of Quidditch. The team that is fouled against may either get possesion of the Quaffle or a free shot at the goal post.
The Offical Will Call Fouls
Players
Keeper - Guardian of the goalposts
Chasers - Manipulators of the Quaffle
Beaters - The Wizards of a Quidditch team who are responsible for hitting the Bludgers away from their teammates and toward the opposition
Seeker - Hunter of the Golden Snitch

Section 4 :: Teaching
If you choose to become a teacher, you will have to prepare a curriculum that will last for three months. At the end of term ( You Will Be Notified When This Is) you will create an O. W. L. test. After the test is taken, you will grade them and post who will be moving up in years.
Also, if you like to assign house points please say that you have given the to the student in your post and then PM Flitwick the information.
